Meet Kareem

Kareem “KA” Williams was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Kelvin Williams and Avonda Gaskin. Both parents hail from the beautiful island of Barbados. After their unfortunate divorce, life looked very different for him. He was challenged with new experiences and emotions that he was ill equipped to handle. He moved to Riverdale, Georgia, at the age of ten. His toughest years were while he attended North Clayton Middle School. This is when he started his battle with pornography. Though pieces of his life were broken, his mother made God a priority and they regularly attended church. He went on to graduate from Riverdale High School in 2001. He has faced many obstacles along the way including dropping out of college, a failed business, student loans and being angry at God. Kareem has also grieved the loss of his grandmother to Alzheimer’s Disease. Depression and porn became a vicious cycle for him.  This was due to the fact that he was medicating his depression with porn. By the age of thirteen he was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Subsequently he went through a series of surgeries, including one that nearly took his life.  Never did he imagine when he first watched porn that it would plague his life on and off for seventeen years. He is passionate about people living free from addiction, being financially free, having fulfilling marriages and living an abundant life full of purpose. He is married to the lovely Dr. Gabrielle Williams, his wife of eleven years. They have two beautiful children—their daughter Shilah and their son Kalel.
